দাদাভাই নৌরুজি (1825-1917)
•ইনি একজন রাজনীতিবিদ, যিনি প্রথম “স্বরাজ” দাবি করেন আই. এন. সি. প্ল্যাটফর্ম থেকে (কোলকাতা অধিবেশন, 1906)।
•তাঁর রচিত বিখ্যাত গ্রন্থ পভার্টি অ্যান্ড আন ব্রিটিশ রুল ” (Poverty and Unbritish Rule in India)-তে তিনি ব্রিটিশদের দ্বারা ভারতের সম্পদ নিঃশেষ হয়ে যাওয়া এবং ভারতে প্রচণ্ড দুর্ভিক্ষের মধ্যে যােগসূত্র বার করেছেন।
•তাকে ইন্ডিয়ান গ্লাডস্টোন এবং গ্রান্ড ওল্ড ম্যান অফ ইন্ডিয়া পদবীতে ভূষিত করা হয়েছে।
হাউস অফ কমনস্ অন আ লিবারেল পার্টির টিকিটে তাঁকে নির্বাচন করা হয়েছিল।
অ্যানি বেসান্ত (1847-1933)
० তিনি প্রথম “থিওসােফিক্যাল সােসাইটি ইন ইন্ডিয়া উদ্বোধন করেন এবং হােম রুল লিগ শুরু করেছিলেন।
•তিনি প্রথম প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন কেন্দ্রীয় হিন্দু স্কুল‘ এবং কলেজ অফ বেনারস (পরে ইহা বেনারস হিন্দু ইউনিভার্সিটি নামে পরিচিত হয়।
০ তিনিই প্রথম ১৯১৭ সালের আই. এন. সি.-এর কোলকাতা অধিবেশনে প্রেসিডেন্ট নির্বাচিত হন
•তিনি 1920 সালের নাগপুর অধিবেশনে অংশগ্রহণ করেননি, কারণ গান্ধীজীর সাথে তাঁর দূরত্ব তৈরি হওয়ায় তাঁর মনে হয়েছিল “গভর্নমেন্ট অফ ইন্ডিয়া অ্যাক্ট করা হয়েছে ভারতকে মুক্ত করার জন্য।
•তিনি ‘নিউ ইন্ডিয়া এবং কমনওয়েল্থ’ সংবাদ পত্রের সম্পাদনা করেছিলেন।
•তিনি তৈরি করেছেন “দি লােটাস সং” এবং ‘গীতা’-কে ইংরাজীতে অনুবাদ করেছেন।
বাল গঙ্গাধর তিলক (1857-1920)
•এনাকে লােকমান্য উপাধি দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
•আগারকারদের সহযােগীতায় তিনি একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান গড়ে তােলেন যেখানে তিনি জনগণকে সস্তায় শিক্ষা দিতে পারবেন।
•তিনি প্রথম জাতীয় নেতা ছিলেন যিনি সাধারণ মানুষের সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করতে চেয়েছিলেন।
•তিনি আখারা, লাঠি ক্লাব এবং গােহত্যা বিরােধী সােসাইটি শুরু করেছিলেন যাতে তিনি জনগণের সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করতে পারেন।
•তিনি দুটি সংবাদপত্র শুরু করেন ‘দি মারহাট্টা (The Mahratta) ইংরাজীতে এবং ‘কেশরী মারাঠীতে।
•প্রথম কংগ্রেস নেতা ছিলেন যিনি অসংখ্য বার জেলে গেছেন। তিনি INC-তে যােগ দেন 1891 সালে।
•তিনি কংগ্রেস চরমপন্থীর লাল-বাল-পাল-র গােষ্ঠীর লােক ছিলেন এবং 1907 সালে সুরাট অধিবেশনে কংগ্রেসের ভাঙ্গন ধরে।
•তিনি 1916 সালে হােম রুল লীগের উপস্থাপনা করেন।এবং লক্ষ্ণৌ সন্ধি এবং রিফর্ম অ্যাক্ট অমৃতসর কংগ্রেসে 1919 সালে উপস্থাপক হতে সাহায্য করেন।
•ভ্যালেন্টাইন সিরল ওনাকে বর্ণনা করেছেনফাদার অফ ইন্ডিয়ান আনরেস্ট” বলে।
•1920 সালে নাগপুর অধিবেশনে আই. এন. সি.স্বরাজ-এর দাবী করেন (তিলকের স্লোগানের পর)।
•তাঁর রচিত বই “দি আরটিক হােম ইন দা বেদাস” এবং”গীতা রহস্য।
